Some of the world's most beautiful designs are created not to demand attention, but to bring a quiet sense of harmony to the spaces around us. Sakura Sunshade was inspired by that philosophy, celebrating the graceful beauty of traditional Japanese design through original hand-drawn illustration.

Delicate cherry blossom, elegant chrysanthemums and majestic Japanese cranes are thoughtfully brought together upon beautifully decorated paper sunshades, creating a design that feels both timeless and serene. Each element has been carefully chosen, reflecting centuries of Japanese artistry where nature and craftsmanship exist in perfect balance.

The traditional Japanese sunshade has long been admired for its beauty as well as its purpose, transforming a simple everyday object into a work of art. I wanted to celebrate that same idea by weaving together intricate botanical details, graceful wildlife and decorative patterns into a Story that feels rich in heritage yet perfectly at home in contemporary interiors.

Every illustration has been meticulously hand drawn by Kirsty Norris BA (Hons), Founder & Creative Director, with every blossom, feather and ornamental detail carefully composed to create a sense of tranquillity and refinement.
