A Story inspired by the magic of moonlit landscapes where imagination and the natural world come together.

As daylight gently fades and the last golden light disappears beyond the trees, the woodland begins to transform. Familiar paths become quieter, shadows stretch across the forest floor and a different world slowly comes to life beneath the moonlit sky.

The Forest at Twilight celebrates the fascinating wildlife that awakens after sunset, when Britain's nocturnal creatures quietly emerge beneath the cover of darkness. A watchful fox moves silently through the undergrowth, a curious hedgehog begins its evening adventure and a majestic owl keeps watch from the silver birch canopy, while woodland birds settle amongst the branches as night gently falls.

Every silver birch tree, woodland animal and delicate botanical detail has been meticulously hand drawn by Kirsty Norris BA (Hons), Founder & Creative Director. I wanted to recreate the elegant character and distinctive texture of the silver birch, carefully illustrating its beautiful bark and graceful branches by hand. Set beneath the gentle glow of the moon, the artwork captures the mystery, tranquillity and timeless beauty of Britain's woodland after dark.

As the closing Story in Chapter One – The Great Outdoors, The Forest at Twilight reminds us that nature never truly sleeps. While the daylight fades, an entirely different community of wildlife begins its day, each creature playing its part in the delicate rhythm of the woodland ecosystem.
